Sun, a glorious sun

It’s been a little more than a week since I had an accident.Other than a slow painful march with my crutches to the GP and my fleeting visit to the fracture clinic by cab on last Tuesday, I was housebound the rest of the time. Therefore, I feel great to be sitting in my local Starbucks with a mug of skinny decaf latte, watching the world go by .



Today’s London is sunny & breezy. A cloudless blue sky spreads out above us. Most of the passerbys sport sunglasses and summery attire, looking perky and cheerful. For all of us, who had to endure an extremely miserable April and early May, this sudden heat wave is so intoxicating. We feel just giddy and light hearted.


Almost all of the Boris bikes around Old Street Station are hired out today. As I limped towards my local chemist, a large herd of cyclists passed me by at a leisurely pace. How I wished if I could be one of them! I was gutted.


At the CO-OP nearby, I picked up my favorite weekly, the Spectator. A quality reading, that what I want this weekend. Let’s be cerebral…
