The sky over London is overcast. The featureless grey spreads out as far as my eyes can see.
Sipping my customary lemon + hot water, I checked Met Office forecast for this weekend. Ohhhh, it does look ominous.
The northern half of the British isles will have a “street party friendly” weather. However, the southern half won’t be so fortunate. We will need brollies and thermals. Bu**er.
Personally, I am melancholy this morning. The fact that I can only watch the Queen’s Barge procession on TV is really dawning on me. I was going to cycle to the Thames and watch the real thing on Sunday afternoon. However, my plan was down the pan after that accident 3 weeks ago. Instead of cheering from the river side, I will have to witness it on the box! I am not British or a royalist. But missing a historic occasion like this, it really bothers me. Since the weather is not on our favour and I can’t stand on my left knee too long, the only sensible thing to do is planking myself in front of the telly with a cup of tea and commiserate my misfortune…
