Another summery day in London.
So I cycled to Regent Street to witness the torch relay.
The traffic on the way wasn’t too heavy.
I enjoyed pedaling through my beloved city.
I really fancied frozen yogurt.
So my detour to Itsu at Hannover Square…
While licking a delicious combination of ice cold yogurt and berries, my eyes darted through the Evening Standard I picked up on the way.
After recharging myself, I headed towards Regent Street…
The crowd wasn’t that many to start with…
This eccentric cyclist was not a part of the torch relay. Still, he was hugely popular…
Then, the number of onlookers multifolded very quickly…
The chopper started to buzz above us. Does that mean the torch is approaching us?
The motorcycle officers crawled up and down, telling us to stay back. Their effort proved rather futile though…
Then, the bus with a group of torch bearers arrived…
And then, a wave of the Olympic sponsors. So many of them! Where is the bl**dy torch?
Here comes the Coca Cola bunch…
Then, a cheery dancers of Team Samsung…
Followed by their vehicle with a giant screen…
Who are they in green Ts?
Oh dear, it’s the Lloyds! I wouldn’t like to cheer for them, that’s for sure…
Another police outrider arrived. Does that mean the torch is finally here?
Me, being short, I could only see what was immediately in front of me.
Then, all the sudden the uproar! The torch was here. I tried to take a photo…and FAILED (T.T)
The pic I found in my iPhone was of some woman’s bingo wing…
The actual torch passed really quickly. A lot of people around were moaning that they couldn’t take any decent snap either. Oh well, c’est la vie…
All in all, the crowd was good natured and I was happy to witness a glimpse of the torch.
I wouldn’t have missed it for the world…
