The weather was a bit moody this morning. Mish mash of rain & sun.
Mr.B & I were running errands in Bishopsgate area today.
We became a bit peckish and decided to have a quick bite at our favourite haunt, Spianata.
Mr.B was enjoying a sun on his face. Feels good, doesn’t it?…
By the time we got there, most of the sandwiches were gone. So we settled for Prosciutto & Mozzarella (Parma Ham & Mozzarella)…
For dessert, I went for chocolate cake instead my usual favourite, Ciambellotto al Limone (Lemon Cake).
How did I find it? Mmmm… it was a bit too bland. I will definitely not pick it next time…
As we chomped our lunch, I noticed rows of people hanging on to the steel barriers erected on the pavement not far from the cafe. Most of them were thrusting up their smart phones.
What on earth is going on?…
Do you recognize the man on the left with pink suits?
It was Robbie Williams! He was filming his new music video in Spitalfields.
Robbie walked over to the middle of the street…
And rolled on the tarmac while AD looked on…
Robbie being helped to back on his feet…
Having a little chat…
And walked back to the pavement…
By the way, the man in a white shirt was NOT Robbie…
He was his body double who would undertake the stunt.
As you can see, he was wearing a pair of elbow guard under his sleeve…
And a medic on standby, of course…
The stunt man’s resemblance to Robbie Williams was remarkable.
A bit more beefier than Robbie. Maybe he was wearing a body armour underneath?…
I managed to capture Robbie and his double in the same frame.
From the distance, they look like twins, don’t they?…
Then again, Robbie walked over to the same spot where he was lying down…
And crouched down…
I am not a huge fan of Robbie Williams. Well, I am not a fan of boy bands in general.
However, it was genuinely interesting to see the filming.
The only one who seemed to disagree with me was Mr.B. He was bored to stiff in the carrier…
Robbie and his entourage chilling out under the canopy…
Then, Robbie went inside his winnebago, parked ostensibly by the opposite pavement.
And the crowd started to flake away, obviously they wouldn’t be hanging around here forever.
Likewise, I decided to leave too. I had to drop in at post office before they were closed…
So, to find out how the stunt is done will have to wait until a new music video of Robbie is released.
I am very much looking forward to it. And you?…
