I hate you!

London plunges back to the winter again the weather-wise. It is so annoyingly typical of the British climate that it allows we all to dip our pale toes, which had been hidden away in woolly socks all winter, into the warmth of the sun and then, all of the sudden it hauls us back into the days of cold wind and rain! How can you do it to us! It’s like snatching a lolly away from the hand of a tender child!! Ugh!!!

I am very sorry, Bay-Bay. I gave you a summer haircut too soon.

I hope she won’t catch a chill…

Blooming bloomers

It is so blooming typical! After just two days of sunshine, the weather has turned. A moment of balmy summer is cruelly snatched away from our grasp yet again. I don’t know which is better though – a fleeting summer to leave us with full of yearning, or a long scorching one to fry us utterly all charred.

Technically, it is still in May and some of you may find it odd that I call last weekend’s weather as summer. But you see, British weather is like the line in Forrest Gump. It is truly like a box of chocolates. You never know what you gonna get next day or next week. A typical joke we crack on the day after a hot spell goes like ‘Oh well, the summer is over now’. It is supposed to be a joke but at the same time, we are always a little apprehensive if the summer will come back for this year again.

Anyway, I am taking advantage of this cooler (& wet) weather to knit a pair of woolly bloomers. Yes, you’ve heard me right. I am knitting bloomer!

The sun may bugger off and the clouds may sit on our heads until they find anything better to do. Still, life goes on so let’s keep buggering on…
