Ugh…

I’m still stuck at home with a “three weeks cold”. I thought the cold had almost gone yesterday, but I was woken up by a horrible cough in the middle of last night again. When will I be back to normal?! I want my life back!!!

I have gone through 3 boxes of Kleenex already. While I’m gazing at a heap of spent tissue papers, Bella is busy destroying the empty box…

I don’t blame you being so bored. I’m also sick of being sick at home!

Hello 2017

Oh dear, I am so ill right now. A messy cold I picked up after Christmas is still here, tormenting me with chesty cough and totally stuffed nose. Please, can I have some decent sleep? I can’t take it anymore!

Bella is busy demolishing a Benylin box…

My head is full with mucus. I can’t think straight…

Bella & her tennis ball

Dogs love a tennis ball and my Bella is no exception. She is crazy about her florescent yellow fluffy bouncy friend…

I’m so glad that she can keep herself busy with the ball and toys. Over the weekend, my sneezing had developed into a proper cold and now, I am housebound with a box of Kleenex. Sorry Bella, I’ll take you for a walk as soon as I feel better…

Where is our summer?

Today is 1st June and it’s blooming COLD! I found it so chilly this morning and ended up turning on heating.

Now I am at Benugo, off Regent Street, and surrounded by people in not summer attire but in winter coats and scarves. I really don’t think it’s not that cold though, a woman, who is standing next to me right now, even dons a sheep skin gilet on top of her motorcycle jacket and wrapping her neck with a black pashmina for an extra measure! She looks chic but the fashion statement she is making is so wrong for this time of the year. Where is our summer?

When I hit the pavement, the heaven opened and drenched the street…

I don’t know what the heck is going on weather-wise, this year…

Fruit Loaf vs Waffle?…

Hubbie is suffering from a horrid cold at the moment.
Normally, I am the one who succumbs to those nasty germs and  being a crybaby in bed. But this time around, it seems different. I feel fine. Is this something to do with me having a few tea spoonful of Manuka honey a day? For Hubbie’s cold, Alex swears by the power of garlic (she is French) and recommends me to feed a clove or two to him. However, he hates garlic! How am I going to coax him into swallowing it?

For Saturday breakfast, I decided to fix waffle with berries and banana in order to increase our vitamin intake. Leaving Hubbie who was hugging a box of Kleenex at home, I headed to a local supermarket. Unfortunately, the supermarket was undergoing major renovations and the floor area was reduced to two third of their normal size. As the result, the shop didn’t stock waffle nor pancake. After marching up and down a bread aisle a few times, I opted for a bag of  sliced fruit loaf.

On top of lightly toasted and buttered breads, I arranged raspberries, blackberries and banana chunks and drizzled over maple syrup…

Hubbie loved it. He munched on as he dubbed his “Rudolph” nose with a sheet of tissue every now and then. I must say I preferred waffle though.

As soon as I came home from my grocery shopping, I kicked off my jeans and changed into a pair of comfy jersey pants. And Mr.B didn’t leave them on the floor unattended for long…

Hey you, who has granted you a permission to appropriate my property?

Mr.B assumes everything on the floor has his name on it. He is so wrong…
