Tetchy Neighbour?…

Yesterday was a much calmer day. No “Augh!” moment.
And thank you very much for the messages. It made me feel so much better. It is not wrong to have a bad day once in a while, I guess. Because it will make a good day extra sweeter by contrast. I just have to be careful not to let a bad day bother me too much and to be watchful for whatever I do!

Yesterday was a holing up day as well.
Donning comfy jersey pieces, I got on with finishing the gilet I had been working on…

Then, I saw Mr.B, my neighbour, sticking his head out of his Strawberry HQ…

It was cute so I took the picture with my iPhone. However, I forgot to turn on a mute button and he sensed what was going on…

‘Oi, just whaddya think you’re doing there?’

Ok, ok, I’ve got your message. I’ll go away but you are a bit tetchy, aren’t you?…

Feeling Rebellious?

Yesterday was my holing up day – no make-up, hair in an Alice band, comfy jersey dressing mode, etc.
I was gonna crack on with knitting, therefore, in home-confinement mode. I was hoping that nobody would arrive at my doorstep because I was not ready to face my public, in short, I was not very presentable!
Anyway, I knitted all day, being helped by YouTube entertainment and made a good progress…

When I am at home, Mr.B is in chilled-out mode too. He travels between Cape Binnie (a black faux sheepskin rug from IKEA), Strawberry HQ (his sagging hideaway) and his Cath Kidson dog bed under the table.
Last night, Hubbie was trying to get Mr.B out of Strawberry HQ for a “Spend a penny” dash to outside. However, Mr.B had other idea and did not want to cooperate…

At first, he ignored Hubbie’s call completely.
Then, he looked annoyed because the call became louder and louder…

‘Alright, I hear you!!’

He shot out of Strawberry HQ like a bullet, decided to take the plunge and get on with the job.
Hey, what is this all about? Don’t be such a sour grape, sweetie.

He looks very sheepish, doesn’t he?

Suits You, Madam!

One of my customers kindly sent to me the photo of her wearing my Greta gilet in denim blue. She is a talented designer herself and I am immensely flattered that she bought my work…

Thank you very much!

Busy Bees…

Hubbie is flying out to NYC this morning and Mr.B & I will be on our own until Sunday morning.
Well, Mr.B doesn’t know it yet. He will be very listless from 6pm onward, and once we are in bed, stomp all over me, being possessed by anxiety. It take a good few days before the fact filters through to him that Hubbie will be away for a while and he will stop being overly upset about it.
I do hope he won’t be too depressed while I am away for 3 weeks after Christmas. It breaks my heart to see him being sad. If only I could reason with him…

While Hubbie was mega-busy with his presentation, I was also busy with knitting another Meringue jumper for DiGuardo.
Once a tag and a care instruction are stitched on, the jumper is ready to go…

The colour is in ever so popular Blue Velvet…

It should hit the shop floor, together with a Greta gilet in Denim, on Thursday or Friday…

Gilet Named Greta…

A “Greta” waistcoat is undoubtedly the most popular item in my collection.
Most of them find their loving owners fairly quickly and I receive upbeat messages from Letizia, informing their departures from her boutique, DiGuardo.
I named this gilet as “Greta” because of its discreetly emphasised shoulder detail…

Image

The shoulders are slightly puffed-up like Greta Garbo striking her signature masculine pose…

Image

I just love the fact that a string of yarn can somehow morphs into a solid object, like a simple doodle taking up a 3-D shape…

Image

Through endless trial & error, the optimum numbers of stitch for each row was established. Yet, I can’t still help treating each project as a work in progress…

Image

By the way, the shade of the yarn is strikingly similar to this ancient Instagram-like snap I came across at  the Photographers Gallery the other day…

Apparently, tomorrow will be a crisp and cold day. Will any of my babies find someone’s shoulders to cuddle?…
