Water baby!

Bella nearly had another skinny-dipping at Granary Square, King’s Cross last Sunday…

She was itching to dive into the mini-fountains. However, the weather was not as warm as the day we visited the Royal Academy. Therefore, she was only allowed to dip her front paws…

Skinny-dipping @ Royal Academy

Yesterday was so balmy, wasn’t it? It was so pleasant and summery!

We took Bella to the courtyard of the Royal Academy of Art on Piccadilly and she enjoyed her very first skinny-dipping…

Initially, she didn’t know what to make of those bubbling mini-fountains. Then, she launched herself at them, punching and biting the water. The people around us were all giggling at her effort as I was doing my best to hold her back so she wouldn’t be completely wet.
Sadly, the warmth has been replaced with chilly winds today. Good things never last, don’t they? Ohhhh, I can’t wait to put on sandals instead of boots….

Muzzle of evidence

Bella, what’s happened around your mouth??? I was puzzled because her muzzle was covered with bits of white. Like Bella the Decorator.

Wat d’ya mean, Miss?

Eep! What the heck has happened to my wall?!

Did you do that, Bella?! WHY??!!

While I was in a shower this morning, she decided to damage the wall. She must have scratched it repeatedly while she was standing on her hind legs. Her front paws were covered with the white stuff too.

What Hubbie will say when he sees this…

I’m sure he will be very unimpressed with her handy work.

By the way, do you know today is my birthday?

Thank you very much for your unforgettable birthday present…*sigh*

My cough is finally on its way out from my system. Thank god!! I’m sure Hubbie and Bella are secretly rejoicing it as well. Who would like to be awaken in the middke of night with thunderous coughs? If they were coming from Hubbie, I would have evacuated from the main bedroom and slept on a daybed (kidding!).

During the depth of my despair with the lingering coughs, my fellow blogger, Wendy, recommended me to try  Jakemans  lozenges. ‘Why not? It will be nicer than syrop or tablet.’ So I clicked a “Buy Now” button in Amazon app and waited.

The quickest delivery option was via Amazon Prime and they arrived in a box with 10 bags of sweets. I unwrapped one of the ebony black lozenges which were wrapped individually in an old fashioned manner and tasted it. Hmmm…, it can be an acquired taste, I thought as I carried on rolling the lozenge on my tongue.

If anyone like me, who loves liquorice, they will love the drops. The sweets are certainly strongly minty and herby but the strength of the flavours was exquisitely restrained. As a result, these passitilles are very moreish. And for the most important point, does it work for my cough? The mintiness definitely calms down my over-sensitised throat. It feels like I have more air in my lung and less painful even if I have to cough. All in all, the lozenges are absolute thumb up.

My Bella also enjoyed the delivery…

She loves shredding a brown stuffing paper comes with an Amazon delivery.

She takes no prisoner…

Are you done?

Anyway, thank you for the recommendation, Wendy!

I’m still stuck at home with a “three weeks cold”. I thought the cold had almost gone yesterday, but I was woken up by a horrible cough in the middle of last night again. When will I be back to normal?! I want my life back!!!

I have gone through 3 boxes of Kleenex already. While I’m gazing at a heap of spent tissue papers, Bella is busy destroying the empty box…

I don’t blame you being so bored. I’m also sick of being sick at home!
